“Sacred Prairie was born as an answer to the vision I had of creating a space to gather, ground and rewild.” — Aprile Lack
Meet the founder
When Aprile was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2015, she (like many) began to seek information and answers. She knew it was time for a lifestyle change and started diving into everything from herbalism and yoga to ayurveda and more.
Since then, Aprile has studied health and coaching through the lenses of eastern and western philosophies, and believes her diverse background is the key to successfully helping clients. She jokes that she is the ‘guide on the side’ while clients navigate through their personal journey.
Aprile completed the Ayurvedic Practitioner (AP) program at the Minnesota Institute of Ayurveda in 2023. She has also completed coursework towards her Master of Arts in Integrative Health & Wellbeing Coaching through the University of Minnesota and regularly studies Western Herbalism.
When she’s not studying, Aprile can often be found at her farm + ranch or studio in Pillager.
Rooted in tradition, branching into wellness
Sacred Prairie draws from ancient practices like Ayurveda, Herbalism, and Yoga, while also embracing modern holistic approaches like Reiki and Sustainable Farming. In fact, it’s a core belief of Aprile’s that these various practices are all branches of the same tree.
At first glance, the prairies could look like a completely random and wild arrangement of plants too. But when you dive in, there’s order in the disorder. So many systems are working together to create balance.
